Snowball Cat Quilt

This is another project I am working on at the moment. My friend who is a cat lover too has been swapping squares with me so I can make myself a cat quilt. I have had all this cat fabric sitting in a box so its time to be used.

When all the snowballs are made I am going to add stashing between the blocks. Maybe put four blocks together or stashing around each block still thinking.

More Civil War Quilt Blocks

Here are three more of my finished blocks.

Texas Tears Log CabinBirds in the AirI do have more blocks cut ready to sew just have to find time to do them.
I am having fun doing this project and using my DJ fabric from my stash. Texas Tears is true for it's name what a hard block but with lots of unpicking and re cutting it is now the correct size 8 1/2"

Civil War Block Four

As you can see this block is not finished.
Why!!!! It's to small just over 8" not 8 1/2" finished that it should be!!!!
The other two blocks turned out the correct size but this one will have to go back and be reverse sewed.
not happy!!!!! The large triangles at the corners overlaps by 1/2" each end. So something is wrong. Will wait and see my friend at craft on Wednesday for some help unless I come up with an answer myself.
Yes I know no number three block is missing.
The third blocks has seven applique stars and I so like making pieced blocks not hand work is slow for me. I will think about the third block in time.

North Star Block Two

Here is block two which I am happy to say I have finished.
North Star block was easy as I have made this star before.
The block are nice size of 8" finished.

"Catch Me If You Can"
The plum fabric's I have use work well together and I am happy with the block as all the points meet. ya!!!!
