Christmas Helper.

When the present were all opened my beautiful ginger boy had to join into the fun and play with all the Christmas paper just like little kids would do. The first photo was taken when Rusty (Cat) saw the face of a cat on the cat calendar sitting on the floor near me and it was looking at him. Very Scary Rusty!!!!! My DS 23 had to take a photo of me in my PJ's with no make up etc. Great one Matt.

Christmas Tree

It's Christmas morning and all the presents have been placed under the tree last night ready for the big day.
What a great day we have had opening presents after breakfast as DH and DS 23 could not wait as they were hungry. Weetie's was on for breakfast. Quick and easy.
Then down to opening the presents that DH handed out to us all.

Christmas gifts.

I am happy to say that I have been crafting the last two days.

The bits for the white card holder have been sitting in the draw of my cutting table for a few years and I found them last weekend when I was moving things around so here it is finished. Early this morning I purchased the bits to make my mortal her December gift. My DS Scott (21)likes the red one best he told me a short time ago as the white stands out he said. Males!!!!!!!!
I am happy with both of them.

Potted love

The pretty plant in the blue pot is called Tranquility and its in the photo with the three plants before it was repotted.

The blue trays have all my little repotted plantlets in them.

The photo of the stand with the black cats on top was taken 10 years ago when I had lots of plants and that stand is one of the largers ones. L 4'x W 2' x H 6'

African Violets are my second hobby if you have read my blog before you would have seen my plants and my little furry boy Darcy. The pretty plant in the pink pot is called Party Time.

Here is the result of a days repotting of my AV's last month on the 18th October. So here's some of my newly pot plants.

My DH is a electrican, thats why how I have a great lightstand for my AV's.

Five years ago I had a room full of these beautiful plants on three stands the other two much larger than this one.Time, family and my other craft's made me down size the growing of AV's.

Summer Dress

In the last few years it is hard to find a cool summer dress that is made of cotton or poly/cotton.

So I been shopping at Spotlight and purchase dress material and patterns and have made my first dress for a long long time.
The blue dress is made from poly/cotton blend and I have use the McCall's 9 pattern and dress G.
The weather today was 35c was just right for a cool dress.

Scrappy blocks

I have been playing around with some fabrics that I once used to make some bags and have bits left over. I have made these blocks using 2 1/2" stripes from the fabrics and hope to make a large quilt as I have lots more cut ready to sew. The blocks are 10" finished.
The blocks are fun and easy to make and have a diamond pattern when joined in the corners.

Jelly Rolls just love them.

I have just collected this set of fabrics to make my next quilt.

A beautiful Woodland Blossoms Jelly Roll, Charm Pack and border fabric to make the quilt in Patchwork and Quilting Vol.17 No. 3 made by Maree StClair.

Roses Quilt.

This quilt is made with yummy flannelet FQ's that I purchase at Darling Harbour Show and later purchase fabric to finish the quilt from Penrith Patchwork.

The front is made of 6" squares cut from the 10 FQ. The Finished size is 69" X 65".

As always my little helper Darcy has got into the photo. The hands belong to my two DS's as they are tall enough to hold it up.

The back of the quilt has lovely fossil fern flannelet as well as bits of fabric from the front.

The quilt was machine quilted by Rosemary at Hobbysew.

Card for Annemarie.

This little card is for Annemarie made with some of the FQ fabric she sent me.
I had fun doing this card with my embroidery machine.

Cards for Lyn.

I am having fun making these little cards. I made these cards for Lyn for return RAK that she sent me. Her card is in a early post and is just lovely.

Embroidery class.

This is Jenny Haskins pattern that we did on Tuesday and will be turned into a cushion for my lounge room.
First we added black fabric as the applique then stitched the design.
The background fabric is some cream damask.
I will be using a pink fabric to finish the cushion.
When I get some of the green threads I will make another cushion.

January White Sale.

These lovely Atc's are from a swap called January White Sale 2008.
The cards had to be white on white as the only rule.
Card 1 is from Shelley and what a clever idea. There is a button with a M and one with a heart.
Card 2 is from Elaine and the lovely lace with the beads are very dainty.
Card 3 is from Dot and her card has some angelina fibres and three little beads with lovely swirly fabric.
Card 4 is from Sharon and has a handmade butterfly which is needle tatted and some lovely petite beads and trims.
Last of all is my card and I have used my embroidery machine and did a little rose pattern on satin and added lace and trims.

Sheree's Wedding.

The day has come for Sheree's Wedding but what a day. It rained and I mean rained all day and didn't stop. That didn't dampen the day but made the weather just nice, not hot at all as January is very hot. The Church was lovely and the bridal party looked just lovely and Sheree was gorgeous.
Here is a photo of DH and myself at home all dressed up ready to go to the wedding. Photo was taken by DH's sister.

The gold and orange flower is from Ann in France.

The purple postcard is from Janet for the Pick-A-Word #25 swap
The scissors card is My card for the PAW #25 swap.

Ann's Halloween QTC.

Here is a close up of the Halloween QTC that Ann made.
The spider is made of two little black beads.
The background is black velvet and the web is silver thread and same fine fabric.
Very clever.

Wedding ring pillow.

This weekend I have spent the last two days finishing Sheree's ring pillow for her Wedding in two weeks time. So have been busy and my emails have had to wait.

I had a little trouble with the satin fraying and my sewing room and me are covered in satin threads everywhere and of course my Darcy has to keep.
