Landscape Quilt.

I made this quilt in class September 2006 and now it hangs in my sewing room.The quilt is only a small wallhanging 19 1/2" x 14 1/2" and was taken from a photo that I took about 25 years ago when my DH and I were on holidays somewhere in Aussie.

More Playing with 350E

The last few days I have been having fun playing with my embroidery machine and made these lovely ATC's.

Will be keeping these ones.

Embroidery Machine Fun!!!!!!!!!!

My new toy the Janome 350E has been getting at workout the last few months. The best thing is learning how to get the embroidery patterns in the right place. The photo is of a teddy bear that I am making in the 350e class at Hobbysew. All the bits are now embroided, now comes the fun part putting the bear together but that's OK I have made furry bears before.

Memory Quilt is now Finished!!!!!!!!

Finally have had time to update my blog.

Mum and Dad's Memory Quilt is finally finished on the 18th July. Mum so loves the quilt and has showed the quilt off to all her friends. All her lady friends wanted to know how I did the photo's and put them in the quilt, that was the easy part.Now it is Mum who has to find the right spot to hang her quilt. Darcy the helper loves to help me pin Mum's quilt.

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary

Jeanette & George my DH’s Mum & Dad will be married for fifty years on 29th May and family and friends surprised them with a party yesterday Sat 26th May.
Mum & Dad were so surprised as they had though that we had forgotten.
The party was wonderful and Mum & Dad were so happy to see friends, some old friends, family and long lost family came.
Cathy my SIL had the party at her place in the garage as seen in the photo. The memory quilt that I started was given as a quilt top as time ran out and I had been sick with the flu. Mum loved the top and handed it back and is waiting for it to be quilted by next week please. Ha Ha !!!!!!!!!!! The weather got colder as the night went on but not as cold as May can be so we were luckly on the night. There were two outdoor heaters that keep us warm.

New Toy.

The big day has

arrived my 50th birthday. My DH & 2 DS's gave me a Janome 350E machine. I have had it for two weeks now and have had a little play but the big day is the 21st.

I so love my other Janome seen with my little helper Darcy ( This photo was taken when we first brought him home at 3 months old.)

Last Friday a week ago I went to the 350E club at my local sewing centre and had my first class on using my machine. I am so going to enjoy my new toy. Darcy loves to help me in my sewing room.

More Atc's.

It has been a few days since I have added to my blog. Have been busy with life.
Last week I finished some more ATC's that I have posted to friends on internet groups. The Photo's of these ATC's are posted here today. I so enjoy doing these little cards.

It's a great way to use up all those little scraps of fabric that are just sitting in boxes.

The blue and pink ATC that I called "Happy Garden" is made from fabric that is in my first quilt that I made for my bed October 2002.
